BREAKING: glxblt still alive and even making music

First of all, sorry for the radio silence! The spring has been very busy and since we only get like a week of summer in Finland, I’ve been trying to spend it AFK. What has helped is that my audio interface, RME Fireface 800 died (Apparently the built-in PSU gave up) and I need to send it somewhere to be fixed since I don’t know how to solder. All is not lost however! I repurposed my mobile interface, RME Babyface (I’m sort of a fanboy, can you tell?) as a stand-in for the Fireface. The amount of available inputs however dropped so radically that I’m unable to easily use any of my hardware as I don’t have an ADAT converter or an external mixer I could use. So, it’s all software for now.

Regardless, last weekend a party called Nordlicht was held in Bremen, Germany. I couldn’t attend, but I made a silly theme tune for the party, and here it is:

glxblt – Mars Needs Demoparties[audio:/streaming/glxblt_-_mars_needs_demoparties-128k.mp3]

[320kbit download]

And since I’ve been asked before, here’s the jingle version played at the party.

In the other news, here’s some of my demoscene-related plans for the rest of the year:

  1. Skip Assembly
  2. Attend Evoke
  3. Play a gig at WeCan
  4. Play a gig at Kindergarden
  5. ???
  6. Profit!

So in all likelihood, you’ll be hearing more from me soon!

Take care.
