Revision 2014: Another year, another track

Easter holidays have a special place in my heart. For the last 8 years (!) it has meant a trip to Germany for me, first to the lovely Bingen until the final Breakpoint event in 2010, and after that, Saarbrücken with Revision. And that tradition, my friends, is not going to die easily! At least not with Revision just getting better and better, year after year.

I just spent 5 minutes seriously thinking how to improve the party and couldn’t figure out anything. So, I’m just going to focus on my own performance here:

I released a track in the streaming music compo. I like to call it “turn-of-the-millennium” -style drum & bass, from back in the day when techstep and neurofunk was simple, danceable and groovy. I am very happy with the tune myself, so naturally it just barely got through the preselection, ending up #15 in the compo (out of 16 played!). The weird thing is, many awesome musicians who I knew had a track didn’t even get through the preselection! Well, tastes are subjective and the jury selecting the tracks consists of humans..

Anyhow, here’s the track. As usual, use the crappy flash-based player for a 128k stream, and hit the download button if you are a MAN.*

[320kbit download]

* Chicks can download too, but only if you come to say hi to me at the next party.**

** Next party: Stream. After that, probably Evoke.
